Tyre Fitting — done properly, on your driveway.
What it is
Mobile tyre fitting is a full workshop-standard tyre change carried out at your location. Our vans carry stock across budget, mid-range and premium brands, a digital balancer, torque wrenches, valve tooling and TPMS diagnostics — so most fitments are completed on the same visit without you leaving your driveway.
Who it's for
Drivers who value their time — commuters, parents on the school run, tradespeople, taxi and delivery drivers, and anyone whose day doesn't have three spare hours to sit in a waiting room. Also drivers who've already bought tyres online and just need a competent fitter with proper kit.
When you need it
When one or more tyres is at or near the 1.6mm legal minimum, when a sidewall shows cracks or bulges, when tread wear is uneven, after a heavy kerb strike, or when you want to swap between summer and winter sets. We're also happy to fit tyres you've supplied yourself.
Why it matters
Fitting a tyre correctly involves more than levering it onto a rim. Bead seating, valve replacement, hub-face preparation, correct balance weights and torque-to-spec on the wheel nuts all affect safety and tyre life. Getting any of those wrong quietly costs you money over the next 20,000 miles.
- Supply & fit — budget to premium brands
- Fitting of customer-supplied tyres
- Cars, vans and light commercials
- Wheel balancing included
- Valve replacement as needed
The cost of ignoring it is rarely the cost you expected.
Driving on worn or damaged tyres
Below 1.6mm of tread you're illegal — £2,500 fine and 3 points per tyre. Wet-braking distances also lengthen sharply below 3mm. A sidewall bulge is a blow-out waiting for the wrong pothole.
Fitting the cheapest tyre without matching the axle
Mixing radically different tyre types across an axle upsets handling in the wet and can invalidate insurance. The 'saving' evaporates the first time you brake hard.
Skipping the balance
An unbalanced wheel doesn't just wobble — it feathers the tread edges and wears bushes and bearings. Two years later you're replacing suspension parts that a £10 balance would have saved.
Five steps. Same every time. No surprises.

Tyre brands and price tiers we stock
Budget: solid warm-climate rubber for city and short-commute cars where cost matters most. Mid-range: brands like Avon, Falken and Hankook that balance wet grip and mileage for family cars and vans. Premium: Michelin, Continental, Bridgestone, Goodyear — the tyres that measurably shorten wet stopping distances and last longer under motorway loads. Runflats and reinforced (XL) casings supplied where the vehicle demands them. If you've bought your own, we're happy to fit those too.
Cars, vans and light commercials
We fit passenger cars, SUVs and light commercial vehicles up to 3.5t — Transits, Sprinters, Cabby, Vito, Trafic and similar. Van tyres are load-index sensitive: a load-rated commercial casing is not the same as a passenger tyre of the same size, and fitting the wrong one can void insurance and shorten life dramatically. We match load and speed indices to the V5 and the vehicle's placard.
What 'on-vehicle' fitting can and cannot do
For 99% of road cars we complete everything at the roadside or driveway: mount, balance, valve, TPMS reset, torque. Where we cannot help on the spot: bent or cracked rims that need a specialist wheel repair, tyres larger than 22" on split-rim or bolt-together commercial wheels, and locking nuts where the alloy has already been damaged by previous incorrect removal. In those cases we say so on the phone before dispatching a van.
Whether it's a driveway job in Cardiff, a roadside call-out around Newport, or across the Severn into Bristol, the standard is the same. See the full list of services, or head straight to the contact page.
Answers to what drivers actually ask.
How much does mobile tyre fitting cost in Cardiff, Newport or Bristol?
Prices vary by tyre size, brand and vehicle. Give us your reg or size on the phone and we quote a fitted, on-the-drive price including valve, balance, fit and disposal — no hidden extras.
How long does a fitting take?
A single tyre is typically 20–30 minutes on site once we arrive. Four tyres is around an hour. TPMS resets add a few minutes on some vehicles.
Can I supply my own tyres?
Yes. We're happy to fit customer-supplied tyres — the fitted price simply excludes the tyre itself. Bring us the sizes and we'll quote a supply-and-fit vs fit-only comparison.
Do you fit runflat and reinforced tyres?
Yes. Runflats and XL/reinforced casings are stocked or sourced on request and fitted with the correct bead lubricant and torque procedure.
Do you offer 24/7 mobile tyre fitting?
Yes — we run genuine 24/7 emergency response across our core coverage area. Scheduled non-urgent fittings are usually booked into daytime slots.
How long should new tyres last?
Realistically 20,000–40,000 miles depending on tyre grade, driving style and correct pressure. Underinflation is the single biggest killer of tyre life.
Do you dispose of my old tyres?
Yes — every fitment includes environmentally compliant disposal at a licensed recycler, included in the price.
Do you cover areas outside Cardiff, Newport and Bristol?
Yes. We regularly cover Gloucester, Swansea, Taunton, Hereford, Brecon and Chepstow. If you're outside those, ring us — we'll give you a straight yes/no on the phone.
